How can it all be worthwhile before you smile, when a smile is what makes it all worthwhile.

As far as I know there is nothing that makes life seem so worthwhile as people about whom we care, who care about us.

I never smiled during my subway rides. The subway years. I found them depressing.

I always smile on the shores of the Mediterranean.

trains remind me of two things, depressing all in all :p
Fairuz and "el-mahatta" play, the station she invented and where she waited for a train that never showed up + an old stupid french song (et j'entends siffler le train)...

Montreal metro is still one of the cleanest around. It's very noisy though.

Let's go out for a beer and photography shooting around Montreal. I promise you you will easily remember how to smile...:)

There aren't too many reasons to smile these days. I'm hoping that will change come July.

I used to think that 'GoodbyeS' at train steps were so romantic. I got over that one evening on a " Layali Al LA ( no) ounss fi Vienna"

This guy distorted that romantic picture in my head. I wish I stepped down off of that train and kicked him in the face.
See I'm not just smiling now,I'm laughing :)

lovely picture! have a strange compulsion for subways, esp the dirty ny subways, the litter, the stains, the smells, the odd distances among strangers on platforms, the crazyhumid underground clausterphobia, a bizarre intimacy of public space... maybe somehow it is my personal counterpoint to the sterility of hospitals... who knows? :)
