thank god for deadlines
not only do i have severe memory loss, but i just discovered (admitted/accepted/acknowledged) that i am a procrastinator. big time. deadly mix i tell you. and i convince myself that the reasons for doing so are obvious and legitimate. i mean i wasn't a few years back. but then there was grad school. so. i always thought that these things you are either born with or not. sad.

welcome to the club :)
But isn't this human nature? I mean, I always thought that by default, we are all procrastinators, no?! Are you telling me that it is not the case?
What you are describing is a normal phase that we all pass through (or at least I passed through it during university days). Stress leads to weaker memory during the stressful times.
Anyway, personally, I take vitamin and mineral supplements; they are good for the body during stress periods. :)
we all are..
oh look gus is still alive!
sometimes the reasons are legitimate and at that time it is ok to procrastinate .
grad school definitely makes you a procrastinator. it's unbelievable how many things i've discovered in order to just waste time :)
well, i think it might be getting serious. like today i lost part of my lunch (and a few weeks ago my breakfast)
gus hayete one of us has to remain focused
paul, its not :)
ahmad, i like your lifestyle, and btw, have you lived in japan? you seem totally into that culture
mirvat, i know, i even bumped into him today :)
lazarus, i totally understand! (like blogging?)
eh, blogging is one of them. although it doesn't take too much time compared to other things :)
of course, i don't regret wasting time. it's "character building" - or some other notion we can use as an excuse ;) - but just imagine ... if we spent all our time concentrated on one goal, we could probably conquer the world.
I AM the procrastinator king.
laila chou! insomniac/memory loss/procrastinator... you seem to be a female version of me.
PROCRASTINATE NOW... DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING FOR TOMORROW.
Me too.
I am not a procrastinator so much as emergency-prone. I keep needing to move, or I get sick, or I accidently give the wrong email address because my mind is elsewhere.
As far as memory goes, I have very few accessable memories of my childhood, but at least I rarely forget anything I read. I never remember what the date is, I often have to ask my sister how old I am, and don't ask me what day of the week it is. Some of that may be due to a recently diagnosed learning disability that interferes with number conceptualization, but I suspect that it is just the absent- mindedness that accompanies academic distraction.
I am a procrastinator and am not ashamed of it. I actually read this post earlier but am commenting now because I am a ??? lmao
Wlik basita! Taryyah! :-)
Damn, and I thought I was the queen of procrastination.
Seems it's more a more common condition than I thought :-/
"Welcome to the club, dah-ling!" she exclaims with arms wide open ;) :D
Do you think it'll stop? naaaaah.
@Laila:
I am fond of the Far Eastern culture, but I never got the chance to go to any country there yet. Hopefully, I will be able to meet my friends there. :)
