"All Lebanese citizens residing abroad have the possibility of exercising their electoral rights on the condition that their names appear on the electoral lists as per article 32 of this law."

for the record, the person who started this campaign is no one else other than Samir Kassir...
I wish our current leaders were like him.
I envy him because he is a much better citizen than myself.

This is an issue that I've always thought about, given that I can vote in the US elections despite the fact that I don't live there. I know that others feel differently, but I came to the conclusion that it's not my place to try to impact the outcome of these elections, given that I've chosen to make my life elsewhere, and as such, my considerations are different as an expat than they would probably be if I lived there (though the outcome would always be the same if Bush was a candidate, as I'd sooner take a 10 km hike in shoes that were two sizes too small than vote for him). Maybe I'd feel differently if my sojourn abroad were only temporary, though. Who knows...
